This newly‑created role is a highly‑visible one, and your successes will be clear to all. It offers an elevated profile and a far wider range of opportunities for progression in comparison to similarly‑titled Claims Account Manager roles. The insurer is thriving, with over 60 offices in more than 20 countries, enjoying a sustained period of growth (in excess of 20%) and is on track to achieve its publicly stated ambition to double in size within 5 years. Cash rich and boasting significant profits, it continues to reinvest in its future, both in terms of processes and infrastructure.

The Claims Function has forged a superb reputation for its high standards, flexibility, proactivity and integrity. It is recognised as an integral part of the insurer’s wider client service offering, and perhaps one of the biggest reasons behind the company’s phenomenal growth trajectory in recent years.

As a key advocate for the UK Claims Function, you will be responsible for enhancing and developing relationships with customers, brokers, and partners. You will support the Claims Function’s ambition to be recognised as the most client‑focused, nimble and value‑adding in the country. You will promote the function’s proposition, processes and performance, ensuring they are valued and understood, both internally and externally.

Responsibilities:
  • Claims Account Management Team Leadership: Establishing and leading a top‑tier Claims Account Management service for the UK claims function.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Building, enhancing, and maintaining strong relationships with customers, brokers, and partners.
  • Market Facing Proposition: Proactively engaging with customers, brokers, and strategic partners to support the development of the market‑facing claims proposition across all product classes.
  • Claims Advocacy: Representing the claims function across the business, and externally, to promote its value and impact.
  • Point of Contact: Working closely with Distribution and Senior Underwriters, serving as the Claims Team point of contact for large and key client initiatives.
  • Monitoring ongoing claims and coordinating reviews: Tracking claims metrics and service levels, often through regular reports or dashboards, to identify developing issues and ensuring high levels of engagement throughout the claim lifecycle.

A major part of this role will be organising and leading claims review meetings with the client and brokers, working alongside large client Underwriters and the Business Development Team.

Qualifications:

It is essential that you have previously worked in an Account Management or Business Development Manager role within a claims environment, and that you have strong commercial awareness and knowledge of the UK claims landscape. Ideally, you will come from an insurer background, including knowledge of claims processes, performance metrics and service delivery. You’ll be skilled in stakeholder engagement and advocacy (both internally and externally) and have a strong track record of building and nurturing relationships with customers, brokers, and partners. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels, and you’ll be an effective team player, demonstrating a positive ‘can do’ attitude and co‑operative interaction with team members.

Benefits:

In return, you will receive an impressive basic salary, flexible benefits, generous pension arrangement and a 20% bonus.
