Responsibilities
- Acting as a key advocate for the UK Claims Function with both internal and external stakeholders, responsible for enhancing and developing relationships with customers, brokers, and partners.
- Establishing and leading a top‑tier Claims Account Management service for the UK claims function.
- Building, enhancing, and maintaining strong relationships with customers, brokers, and partners.
- Proactively engaging with customers, brokers, and strategic partners to support the development of the market‑facing claims proposition across all product classes.
- Representing the claims function across the business and externally to promote its value and impact.
- Working closely with Distribution Teams and Senior Underwriters, serving as the Claims Team point of contact for large and key client initiatives.
- Tracking claims metrics and service levels to identify developing issues and ensuring high levels of engagement throughout the claim lifecycle.
- Organising and leading claims review meetings with the client and brokers, working alongside large client Underwriters and the Business Development Team.
Qualifications
It is essential that you have previously worked in an Account Management or Business Development Manager role within a claims environment, and that you have strong commercial awareness and knowledge of the UK claims/selective landscape. Ideally, you will come from an insurer background, including knowledge of claims processes, performance metrics and service delivery. You’ll be skilled in stakeholder engagement and advocacy and have a strong track record of building and nurturing relationships with customers, brokers, and partners. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels, and you’ll be an effective team player, demonstrating a positive ‘can do’ attitude and co‑operative interaction with team members.
