Overview

Business Development Executive (A chance to move into Corporate Insurance Broking) – Leeds. Permanent role in Financial Services, focused on Business Development in Yorkshire & Humberside with a hybrid/remote working arrangement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with banking partners in your region and generate high volumes of warm, qualified leads.
  • Learn the ropes of commercial insurance broking through extensive inhouse training, including promotion of covers such as Employer’s Liability, Public Liability, Professional Indemnity and Property Insurance.
  • Visit customers and banks (initially with an experienced Account Executive) to understand client needs and promote appropriate insurance solutions.
  • Develop a sophisticated, solutions-based sales approach, including prospecting, highlighting USPs, asking open questions and trial closing.
  • Build and maintain a portfolio of bank branches within the M62 Corridor to Newcastle, with autonomy and time on the road balanced by hybrid/remote work.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable track record of success in a B2B sales-based role across varied industry sectors.
  • Comfortable approaching MDs and FDs of businesses from construction, manufacturing, technology, life sciences and other sectors.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills and ability to manage relationships with banking partners.
  • Self-motivated, well-organised with excellent task-management skills.
