You’ll be responsible for underwriting commercial insurance risks across a range of SME products, for clients from a range of sectors such as property owners, construction, retail and manufacturing. You will provide technical support to brokers and customers, and help maintain profitable growth through sound underwriting decisions.

You will be underwriting new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments, assessing the risks to make decisions within your authority. You will also ensure that all work carried out is done so in a fashion that complies with both FCA regulations and in-house protocols.

It is essential that you have a sound understanding of Commercial Combined insurance, along with a willingness to develop your knowledge of other lines such as Professional Indemnity. As this is effectively a tech start-up operating with bespoke computer systems and its own, state of the art artificial intelligence software, it is essential that you are tech savvy and a real advocate of AI. You’ll enjoy keeping abreast of the latest developments in the tech world, and you must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
