This is a terrific opportunity to join a dynamic, and fast-paced company that is closely associated with a household name within the Tech space. It is enjoying a sustained period of growth (both organically and via the acquisition of quality accounts), including some of the partner tech company's peers; further blue-chip names with global profiles.
Here, you will work in close conjunction with the Broking Director and Account Executives, playing a key role in the management of a portfolio of clients. This includes maintaining regular dialogue with clients, answering general enquiries, dealing with MTA's and helping to prepare for renewals. You will build a sound understanding of your clients' business activities and ensure that their insurance programmes remain robust. If gaps in cover are established, you will help implement strategies to mitigate these, and to ensure comprehensive cover is maintained. You will also prepare a variety of reports and documentation.
Clients are from a variety of 'white collar' sectors, such as technology, telecoms, media and professional services. However, as a number of these firms' activities include the installation of telecom equipment and operating large fleets, you will still have plenty of exposure to liability cases. Clients vary in terms of size and complexity, from the relatively vanilla generating £10,000 income to those with complex global programmes paying six-figure fees.
It is essential that you have a sound working knowledge of all common commercial covers, such as Property, Liability, PI, D&O, Commercial Combined and Motor. Knowledge of global risks, and London Market broking processes/documentation would certainly be advantageous. You must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and be able to manage and influence stakeholders from a wide range of companies.
This really is an opportunity to join this exciting and continually-evolving business, which is involved with some truly fascinating projects. As the company continues to expand its offering, and explores further markets, you'll have the opportunity to be involved with some really interesting work, which simply cannot be gained in most insurance organisations. Equally, as the company continues to grow, you will be well-positioned for further career development opportunities.
In return, you can expect a basic salary up to circa £50,000, but outstanding candidates seeking up to £60,000 that can demonstrate value in the increase are certainly welcome to register an interest. You will also receive a first-rate benefits package that is wider and more generous than is found at many competing firms.
This broker operates a hybrid-working model, whereby you can work from home several days per week, with additional flexibility allowed to fit in around family life.
