The new London Market Claims Team has 3 distinct divisions; Professional Risks, Energy and Marine. Claims Adjusters will be working on files with reserves up to US$250,000, and sometimes higher on a referral basis, with the vast majority of losses coming through the broker channel. including establishing quantum, investigating the circumstances around a loss, and appointing Adjusters. You will keep accurate records of all work undertaken, regularly updating inhouse and London Market claims systems and, when required, compiling accurate management information for a range of stakeholders. You should also be able to communicate fluently in writing and be competent working with bespoke computer packages. You’ll be highly numerate and comfortable analysing various sets of data, with the ability to spot trends and anomalies. It is essential that you have relevant experience, either gained within a commercial claims or personal injury background – this can be from either insurers, brokers or legal firms.
