Our client is a global insurance broking organisation that has a longstanding and mutually beneficial, nationwide relationship with a well-known high street bank.

Here, Counter Staff, Relationship Managers and Commercial Bankers are incentivised to provide the brokerage with warm leads for commercial insurance.

This relationship has proven very successful over recent years, and the bank staff are well-versed in how best to promote the advantages of this broker's service proposition – it's seen as an 'easy sell' and your partners don't need much encouragement to fill Account Executives' diaries with leads!

Indeed, this role has come about due to the internal promotion of one of the Account Executive team who, as a result of their success in the role, has gone on to an exciting new role within the Group.

Here, you will benefit from a warm handover with the departing Account Executive, which will include being introduced to staff at the banks.

You will assume control of relationships with a number of high-performing banks across the Yorkshire region, and continue to educate and motivate the bank's staff.

This is a home-working opportunity, but you will benefit from the support of the field-based colleagues, as well as those based in regional offices.

You will meet the bank's commercial customers (having already been advised of their requirements and renewal date, and often an insight into their current premiums and claims histories etc.) and attempt to secure their business.

Clients could be from a range of industry sectors, both blue and white collar, and could typically range from £10K to six-figure premium spends.

It is envisioned that you will continue to service clients won (building your own portfolio) although we welcome applications form candidates who wish to pass on accounts won and remain focused solely on new business.

It is essential that you have a solid background in commercial insurance broking, ideally gained as an Account Executive.

However, refreshingly, talented and ambitious Account Handlers, who are looking to step up into an Exec' role, will be considered.

Your technical capabilities should include knowledge of all common commercial covers such as Property, Liability, Commercial Combined and Financial Lines.

As this is a home-working opportunity, you must be disciplined, well-organised, with excellent task management skills.

You should also have strong relationship building skills in order to build rapport with banking staff across the network, and secure new business with clients from all walks of life.

In return, you will receive a generous basic salary, plus car allowance, bonus and a comprehensive benefits package that can be tweaked to suit your circumstances.

You will also receive fantastic opportunities for progression and, should you be interested, support towards professional qualifications under the CII.
