The exact make-up of this portfolio can be tweaked to suit your skills, experience and ambitions, with individual risks generating anywhere between £5,000 - £50,000 in commission and fee income. Likewise, the size of the portfolio to be inherited can vary significantly, suffice to say it will be ‘well into six-figure income territory’.

Clients can be from a range of industry sectors, from tech and the professions, through to higher liability trades like haulage, manufacturing and engineering. You will be tasked with the retention and development of your account, but it must be stressed that the majority of growth can be quite simply achieved through ‘easy wins’ – using this broker’s vast network of specialist teams to promote a range of ancillary covers and services such as credit insurance, risk management and claims consulting.

Taking the lead on managing your portfolio, you will be assisted by a dedicated team of Corporate Account Handlers and Brokers who will assist you in designing a robust insurance programme that continually reflects clients’ exposures to risks and a fast-moving market. For example, you will oversee the strategy surrounding renewals, insurer negotiations, and the preparation of a variety of documents.
