For Account Executives wanting to join the premier league of broking, there can be few better opportunities to ‘up their game’ than with this global! Due to the internal promotion of an incumbent member of the team, the need has arisen to appoint an additional Account Executive to its Maidstone office. Here, you will benefit from a lengthy (and warm!) handover to a longstanding portfolio of clients – without the fear that it will be ‘under attack’ from a departed colleague. The exact make-up of this portfolio can be tweaked to suit your skills, experiences and ambitions, but it is likely to stand at £200,000 in commission and fee income. Clients within this office’s portfolio range from £5,000 right through to £150,000 but it’s fair to say its sweet spot is between £10,000 – £40,000. You are likely to inherit clients from a range of sectors (both blue and white collar), such as manufacturing, property owners, or the professions. Working with a talented team of Brokers and Account Handlers, you will be responsible for building a detailed understanding of your clients’ businesses and exposures to risk. You will scrutinise their programmes to ensure that they are adequate, and where gaps in cover exist, develop ways to mitigate these.
