Technical Commercial Property Claims Specialist (Hybrid-Working)
Prestigious Global Broker
Attractive salary and market-leading benefits
When it comes to delivering successful client outcomes, this team’s reach is far and wide. In fact, its ‘wins’ are regularly praised in the weekly inhouse broadcast by the UK CEO. As such, it is a high-profile role, where your achievements will have a real impact internally, as well as with a client list that comprises some of the biggest companies in the country. These include clients from a wide range of industry sectors such as Automotive, Food & Beverage, Tech and Engineering, including those who pay 8-figure premiums.
This Technical Team is staffed by some of the most gifted claims professionals in the market, many of whom have made the transition into broking from insurer or loss adjusting backgrounds. This specialist team deals with referrals made from Claims Advisors and Claims Executives from across the branch network, where specialist Property knowledge is required in order to deal with particularly complex losses, insurer declinatures, challenge wordings and adjustments, and quantum queries.
In addition, you will be required to attend client visits on occasion and, as a senior member of the team, assist with the training and development of less-experienced colleagues, as well as dealing with ad hoc technical referrals. With each loss being unique, there is no ‘one-size fits all’ approach to managing claims as complex as those handled by this team. For example, in some cases, you may only be involved once difficulties arise, and in others, you may deal with the loss from the very start; taking initial notification and establishing applicable coverage. In either instance, you will provide expert guidance and technical analysis throughout; striving to obtain the best possible settlement terms on behalf of your clients.
It is essential for this role that you have extensive experience of dealing with a variety of large, complex and contagious Property losses. You must be a natural problem-solver, solutions-focused, and able to understand arguments and different viewpoints in order to interpret and challenge policy wordings to drive positive client outcomes. You must be well-organised, with exceptional task-management skills, and be able to work autonomously. You will also have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and be able to produce a variety of reports, documentation and management information.
In return, you will receive a generous basic salary that is far in excess of what is offered in most ‘run of the mill’ broker claims roles. You will also receive a comprehensive, flexible-benefits package, which can be tweaked to your own personal circumstances.
