Job Description

This is arguably the most exciting personal lines insurer in the UK market right now. Expanding rapidly, by way of organic growth, as well as via the acquisition of complementary insurance brands, this company continues to go from strength to strength.

With a history of almost 200 years, the company prides itself on being a leading provider of award-winning insurance solutions in the UK. “We’ve worked hard to become a focused leader in our chosen markets, and we’re now ready to use that platform as a launchpad to become the best.”

Having recently formed a dedicated Claims Data & Analytics team to support the company’s significant period of growth, a new position has been created for a Claims Analytics Manager.

Here, you will support the Head of Claims Data & Analytics by leading on an area of the analytics function within the Claims department, covering Motor and Home. This role focuses on leveraging data to drive insights, improving claims handling efficiency in support of the Claims Operation, and supporting efficiency and indemnity improvement initiatives. You’ll be a crucial link between the claims function and wider areas of the business such as Pricing and Actuarial, ensuring emerging trends are anticipated, quantified and communicated.

Specific duties will include, but not be limited to, analysing claims data to identify trends and patterns, producing materials to input to the Long-Term Pricing Process and other senior management meetings, and tracking and reporting on the benefits of continuous improvement initiatives. In addition, you’ll work closely with Claims Operations Managers and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights, establish key performance metrics to monitor claims data performance, and regularly track and report on the effectiveness of data-driven initiatives to senior leaders and other stakeholders. You’ll also be responsible for developing the skills and capabilities of direct reports, providing training and support to the wider claims team to enhance data literacy and analytical capabilities.

It’s essential that you have previous experience in data analytics within the Personal Lines Insurance market. Just as importantly, you’ll have the ability to motivate and develop Analysts, as well as excellent stakeholder-management skills and the ability to drive through change. You’ll be able to communicate complex messages at both Executive and Delivery Team levels, and be proficient in data storytelling and designing clear presentations.

Not only does this insurer take huge care to look after its valuable customers, it is renowned for being one of the most supportive employers in the general insurance market. It lives and breathes its core values, and takes genuine pride in creating a supportive, inclusive and safe environment, encouraging people to bring 100% of themselves to work every day, where its employees are its greatest asset. Being re-certified by the Top Employers Institute as a Top Employer for 2025, is testament to this.

The company offers a hybrid-working arrangement, requiring you to attend its office in Hampshire one day per week.

You’ll be rewarded with an attractive salary ranging from £70K to £100K (Depending on experience), together with a car allowance and wide range of company benefits.
