We are seeking an enthusiastic, action‑oriented, and highly organised Business Support Assistant to deliver exceptional support to the team.

Role Summary

This role provides vital support to managers and their teams and requires adaptability in a fast‑paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong interpersonal skills, sound judgement, initiative, and the ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calendar Management: Coordinate complex diaries across multiple time zones for managers and team members.
  • Travel & Expenses: Arrange travel bookings and manage expense submissions for senior staff.
  • Event & Meeting Logistics: Plan and deliver internal meetings, off‑sites, social events, and celebration activities. Responsibilities include:
    • Booking venues and rooms
    • Managing invitations and RSVPs
    • Coordinating catering
    • Supporting agenda preparation
    • Taking minutes and tracking actions
    • Organising event materials
  • Team Mailing Lists: Maintain and update team distribution lists in a timely manner.
  • Visitor & Lecture Coordination: Oversee logistics before, during, and after visits and lecture sessions.
  • Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to all administrative policies and procedures.
  • Cover Support: Provide administrative cover and support for colleagues when required.
  • Cross‑Team Events: Assist with wider business events across Cambridge.
  • Cross‑Site Collaboration: Work closely with support staff across multiple sites to provide a consistent, high‑quality experience.
