We're looking for a commercially sharp, data-driven Head of Digital Marketing to own digital strategy, trading, and performance across two jewellery brands — Astley Clarke & Edge of Ember. This is a part-time fractional role - 2 days per week with daily monitoring of live trading (at least 1 day a week in the office).

You will own the full digital function: strategy, trading numbers, and e-commerce performance, directing our media agency's execution and working closely with the CEO and Marketing teams on creative and trading priorities.

  • Define and own digital marketing strategy across both brands, setting direction for paid media, CRM, and site performance.
  • Own weekly/monthly trading numbers - revenue, conversion rate, AOV, traffic - and the commercial story behind them.
  • Set budgets and targets (ROAS, CAC, LTV) and hold the agency accountable against them.
  • Build a test-and-learn culture across channels and on-site, scaling what works.
  • Direct our performance marketing agency's strategy and output across paid social (Meta) and paid search (Google), reviewing plans and challenging recommendations rather than executing directly.
  • Ensure best-in-class tracking, attribution, and reporting infrastructure is in place across the agency and internal stack.
  • Own e-commerce metrics end-to-end - site conversion, funnel performance, and merchandising impact on trade.
  • Brief creative teams on performance-led content, feeding in data insights to improve ad effectiveness.
  • Work closely with Marketing & E-commerce team to align campaigns with product launches, seasonal moments, and trading priorities.

Reporting

Deliver clear, regular reporting on channel performance, spend efficiency, and trading outlook against targets.

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years in digital/performance marketing, with experience directing agencies as well as hands-on channel knowledge (Meta, Google).
  • Proven track record owning trading and e-commerce P&L for DTC or premium consumer brands - jewellery, fashion, beauty, or lifestyle a plus.
  • Highly commercial - equally comfortable in trading numbers, site metrics, and channel strategy.
  • Confident managing agency relationships and holding them to account, without needing to execute campaigns personally.
  • Experienced operating as a senior individual contributor, working autonomously and managing up.
  • Strong with GA4, attribution tools, and reporting dashboards.
