Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading Manufacturing company in their search for Warehouse Team Leader to work in their leading facility in Shrewsbury.
For the successful Warehouse Team Leader our client is offering;
- Up to £33,000 per annum DOE
- Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Monday- Friday 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM rotating weekly
- Permanent position
- Free parking
- Life Insurance – once passed probation period
- Annual profit related bonus – once passed probation period
- Pension and Healthcare plan – once passed probation period
The role – Warehouse Team Leader;
- Supervise a team of warehouse operatives, including shift planning, task allocation, and performance management.
- Ensure all warehouse activities (goods-in, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns) are completed accurately and on time.
- Act as the main point of contact for courier collections, ensuring all shipments are clearly documented with reference numbers, destination details, and contact names.
- Train and mentor new staff, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards and company procedures.
- Liaise with internal departments (e.g. Internal Sales, Sub Assembly, Quality) to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor stock accuracy and participate in cycle counts and audits.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing health and safety procedures and conducting regular checks.
- To manage customer returns and supplier non-conformances.
- To review Warehouse errors and share outcomes with your team to drive improvements.
- Responsible person on site for Fire wardens and first aid.
- Key Holder.
What our client is looking for in a Warehouse Team Leader;
- Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, ideally in a supervisory or team leader role- ESSENTIAL
- Strong leadership and communication skills- ESSENTIAL
- Competent in using WMS and Microsoft Office applications- ESSENTIAL
- Forklift license- desirable but not essential
- Good understanding of warehouse processes and health & safety regulations- ESSENTIAL
- Due to site location, own transport is essential
