For the successful Fabricator Welder (Heavy Gauge), our client is offering: Hourly rate of Β£17.12 per hour (PAYE) Basic Salary of Β£35,609 per annum Overtime paid at x1.5 (Β£25.68) & x2 (Β£34.24) Working hours: Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm Overtime available afterhours and on weekends 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays Birthday leave Buy & Sell up to 5 days leave per year Medicash Health Benefit Referral Scheme Pension Permanent Opportunity The role β Fabricator Welder (Heavy Gauge): Fabricating structural components. Plate preparation, using different methods (Oxy β fuel gas cutting & Hand Grinding), pressure testing, drilling & lock fitting. Fit, fair and tack weld steelwork. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings. Operating various tools and machinery. Assembling the parts into a structure, usually by welding it, but sometimes using bolts and rivets. Finishing off the assembly, using tools like grinders and polishers to smooth the surface. Ensuring high-quality standards are met. Following health and safety protocols. What our client is looking for in a Fabricator Welder (Heavy Gauge): City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent in fabrication or welding/plating. Proven expertise in fabrication and welding. ESSENTIAL Proven experience in the Marine/Nuclear/Steel fabrication/Off-shore/Petro-chemical or Construction industries β ESSENTIAL Previous experience with Heavy Gauge Fabrication/Plating work β ESSENTIAL Significant experience in structural steel fabrication β BENEFICIAL Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
