Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading engineering firm, in their search for a CNC Setter Operator to work in their facility in Liverpool.
The CNC Setter Operator position involves setting and operating Fanuc/Mazak controlled CNC lathes and vertical machining centres, as well as multi-axis turn/mill machining centres. Responsibilities include manufacturing components using precision engineering tools, setting up and operating a range of multi-axis CNC machine tools, quality checking products, and using hard gauging and CMM equipment to ensure product quality with fine tolerances. The role also involves working with stainless steels and heat-resistant super alloys, and interpreting engineering drawings.
Job Details:
- Pay: £33,930 - £35,334 per annum.
- Hours of Work: Rotating shifts:
- Week 1: Monday to Wednesday, 5:55 AM to 5:40 PM.
- Week 2: Thursday to Saturday, 5:55 AM to 5:40 PM.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience in CNC setting and operating (milling and turning machinery).
- Proficiency in working from engineering drawings.
- Skilled in setting and operating CNC machinery with Fanuc and Mazak controls.
- Ability to work to tight tolerances.
- Experience in completing quality and CMM checks.
Qualifications:
- NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent in a relevant mechanical engineering discipline, preferably within manufacturing engineering.
Desirable Requirements:
- Programming experience with Mazatrol or Fanuc.
- Experience working with a CNC Integrex machine.
Additional Information:
- 15 shift holidays (equivalent to 25 days) plus bank holidays off.
- Permanent position.
- If off shift on a bank holiday, a day in lieu is provided.
