About Asterix

We’re solving the biggest problem in healthcare: The lack of qualified doctors. Millions of patients can’t get appointments with their GP, and millions more are stuck in hospital waitlists, waiting for treatment. Patients suffer from preventable conditions that could’ve been caught and proactively managed.

At Asterix we’re pioneering a new model of care where qualified international doctors work remotely to support UK healthcare providers, starting with GP Practices. Our novel approach is enabled by new regulation, and we are the only company in the UK approved to use it.

Our team has scaled companies to $5Ms in ARR, led the first “Good”-rated telehealth provider in the UK and received fellowships for international health economics research. We’re backed by Entrepreneur First and just closed an oversubscribed funding round with top-tier investors. We are already generating revenue and have multiple customer practices launching…That’s where you come in!

Culture: The Asterix Way

We’re a small, ambitious and collaborative team. We move fast because what we’re building matters.

  • Humble: We default to curiosity. We ask questions. We level each other up and let data and clinicians guide us on what great looks like.
  • High-intensity, founder mentality: No waiting for permission. We own problems end-to-end and push for resolution. This mission isn’t a 9-to-5, so we work hard with intention and always bring that little bit extra.
  • Joyful energy: We take the work seriously, not ourselves. We laugh, celebrate wins and show up with kindness, optimism and momentum.
  • In-person by design: We work shoulder-to-shoulder in London, it makes us faster, sharper and keeps the energy high. And yes, while we love the office vibe, there’s always flexibility to work from home when you need it.

What you’ll do

As a GPhC-registered Pharmacy Technician, you’ll play a pivotal role in bridging clinical operations, practice workflows and quality assurance. You will help ensure our doctors are quality assured through audit and integrate safely and efficiently into partner GP practices.

  • Work through the audit schedule. Prepare and complete audits in line with practice SOPs & national clinical guidance.
  • Bring primary care insight. Use your experience in PCNs or GP practice environments to strengthen primary care alignment.
  • Manage day-to-day clinical administration. Support patient care through working with the Asterix Doctors in the processing of tasks, workflows, referrals and pathway queries.
  • Contribute to quality assurance. Support clinical governance and through tracking performance metrics, audit outcomes, safety indicators and follow-up actions.

How this role might develop

You’ll be our first Pharmacy Technician hire, with more technicians joining as we scale. This means a real opportunity to grow, shape the function, and become the go-to expert in how primary care operations run with Asterix.

  • Become a specialist in primary care quality and safety, building deep expertise in EMIS/S1, GP workflows, tasking, clinical governance and operational excellence.
  • Grow into a Lead Technician role, where you could lead and manage future technicians, own major parts of the accreditation workflow, support customer launches and drive quality improvement.
  • We’ll mould the role around your strengths and build a career path you’re genuinely excited about.
