Here at Asterix we’re solving the biggest problem in healthcare: the lack of qualified doctors. Millions of patients can’t get GP appointments. Millions more are stuck on hospital waitlists. Preventable conditions go unmanaged. It’s no longer good enough. At Asterix, we’re pioneering a new model where qualified international doctors work remotely to support UK GP practices. We’re the only company in the UK approved to operate this model under new regulation. We’re also building DoctorOS, a platform that automates clinical busywork and makes our doctors significantly more productive than traditional GPs. We’re already generating revenue working with some of the largest GP practices in the country, covering over 250k patients.

What you’ll do

  • You’ll own the relationship with our GP practice partners from the moment they sign, through onboarding, and as the partnership grows.
  • Lead onboarding for new GP practices end-to-end which will involve owning and running sign-off meetings, getting clinical workflows set up correctly, and making sure practices feel confident from day one.
  • Become the trusted point of contact for clinical queries and concerns resolving issues directly rather than passing them around.
  • Shadow our Clinical Operations Lead and our Chief Medical Officer to get deep on our clinical model so you can speak credibly with practice managers and clinicians alike.
  • Build a systematic feedback loop with GP partners capturing what’s working, what isn’t, and making sure it shapes how we operate.
  • Iterate our SOPs and audit processes based on real practice feedback, not assumptions.
  • Spot patterns across partnerships and flag them early to the clinical team, to product, and to leadership.

Who you’ll work with

You’ll report to Max (Co-founder & COO) and work closely with Farah (Clinical Operations Lead, ex-Babylon) and Dr Dan Bunstone (CMO, ex-Push Doctor CMO). Between the three of them, you’ll have deep expertise in clinical governance, operations, and NHS primary care to draw on as you build out the function. You’ll join at a critical moment in our scaling journey, owning and shaping our clinical customer function from the ground up. As we grow, we see this role naturally evolving into a Customer Operations Lead owning the customer function as we grow the business from 210,000 to 1,000,000+ patients.

What experience we need you to have:

  • Able to confidently lead onboarding sessions, training, and performance reviews with GP practice teams.
  • Proven experience improving a workflow or operational process (e.g. reducing backlog, redesigning an SOP, improving turnaround times).
  • Experience working in NHS primary care, as a clinical pharmacist, nurse, advanced nurse practitioner, or resident doctor.
  • Strong working knowledge of clinical systems (EMIS, SystmOne).
  • Love ownership and tackling challenges no one has solved before.
  • Want to build scalable processes, not just deliver services.

Nice-to-haves but don’t worry if you don’t have all the following:

  • Evidence of working in health tech. This could mean you may have tried to start a company or completed internships at health tech companies.
  • Clinical governance experience, for example, conducting audits.
  • Team management experience, or experience in an operations role.
  • Experience in telehealth settings.

Salary and benefits

£50-55k (depending on experience), 28 days holiday + bank holidays, London office in Shoreditch (full gym, stocked fridge).
