We're hiring a Founder's Associate at Asterix
There aren't enough highly qualified doctors in the UK, and the system can no longer keep up. Millions of patients wait weeks for appointments. Millions more are stuck on hospital waitlists. Preventable conditions are missed and go unnoticed.
Asterix is building a scalable solution. We're a remote healthcare services provider, and the only company approved to work with GPs working remotely for the NHS from abroad. Our highly qualified doctors are augmented by best-in-class technology to make safer, more consistent clinical decisions.
Our DoctorOS platform is becoming the backbone of modern healthcare delivery, combining rigorous clinical leadership, real-world healthcare workflows and AI tooling that makes doctors up to 10x more productive.
We were founded by Julian and Max, who met at Entrepreneurs First, and we're backed by Triple Point Ventures, D2 Fund, DLB Ventures and a group of angels from healthcare, technology and policy. We're deployed at some of the UK's largest healthcare providers, generating revenue and scaling fast.
The role:
We're hiring because our current Founder's Associate has been promoted into a Growth role, and we're looking for the next person to step in.
You'll work directly with Julian (Co-founder & CEO) on the highest-leverage problems in the business. From day one, you'll own cross-functional initiatives, shape strategy and push execution forward across product, sales, operations and compliance.
This is not a support role. Your job is to free up founder time by owning problems end to end, and to step into whatever matters most this week, even when it's undefined. It's built for people who want to learn how real companies scale by doing it themselves.
Expect some travel, plenty of customer contact and real responsibility from the start.
What you'll own:
Strategic initiatives: - Lead high-stakes, ambiguous projects from idea to execution to results. You'll scope opportunities, build execution plans and drive outcomes, acting as the connective tissue across Product, Engineering, Clinical, Sales and Ops.
Commercial and go-to-market - Accelerate sales cycles through sales enablement, materials and deal momentum. Support the Growth team in defining how Asterix is positioned across web, email, conferences and in person. Represent the business externally, and find and fix bottlenecks in the funnel.
Operations and systems - Design and run internal workflows across admin, tooling, vendors and compliance. Build repeatable processes that let the company move faster with less friction, and help shape our operating cadence, KPIs and accountability.
Data, compliance and scale - Own data and medical device compliance processes alongside our engineering and clinical leads, balancing speed with safety in a regulated environment. Use data and structured analysis (Excel, SQL and AI tools) to inform decisions.
Who you'll work with
You'll report to Julian and naturally work across the entire business: with Max (Co-founder & COO) on operations and systems, Keith (CTO) on product and engineering, Dr Harriet Bradley (Medical Director) on clinical governance and compliance, and Jamil (Delivery Operations Manager) on GP supply-side operations. You'll also represent Asterix with customers, partners and at events.
Who you are
You're an early-career operator who wants to learn how companies scale by doing it. You've spent time in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment, and you're happiest switching between customer conversations, detailed admin, product research and keeping the business moving.
You thrive in ambiguity. You ask the right questions, simplify complexity and get to root causes fast. You don't wait for instructions; you investigate, propose and iterate. No task is beneath you, and you want to grow faster than feels comfortable.
You're likely to have:
- 1β2 years of experience in a high-growth startup, finance, consulting or healthcare
- Exceptional organisation and reliability: you make sure nothing falls through the cracks
- A systems mindset: you think in checklists and process improvements, and enjoy making the company more efficient every week
- Strong written and verbal communication, adapting your style for clinicians, engineers and customers
- Experience putting together docs, decks, customer updates and product feedback
- Strong knowledge of Claude, n8n and other AI and automation tools
- Comfort with data and structured analysis in Excel, SQL and AI tools
- High EQ: warm, grounded, easy to trust and able to read the room
You'll be a great fit if
- You care about the people around you, your work, our users and the mission
- You want to work hard: we have ambitious plans and need people with the pace and endurance to get us there
- You're high agency: you take ownership of messy, open-ended problems and push them to resolution without being asked
- You're a team player: you lift the people around you with positive energy
- You're hacky: you've bent reality to achieve something, and we'd love to hear about your latest side project
We care about energy, judgement and ownership more than credentials.
How we work
- Humble: we assume we're wrong until the data or a clinician proves otherwise. Curiosity over ego, always.
- Founder mentality: no corporate cosplay. You own problems end to end and push them to resolution.
- Joyful energy: we take the work seriously, not ourselves, and we celebrate progress together.
- In-person by design: we work shoulder-to-shoulder in London because it makes us faster, tighter and better.
To be upfront: we're an early-stage company with massive ambition, and the pace is fast. If that excites you, you'll thrive here. If you want a traditional 9-to-5, this role isn't for you.
You'll have an outsized impact on the trajectory of the company, with direct exposure to the founders, a seat in real strategic decisions, and ownership of initiatives that materially move the business. You'll get a front-row view of scaling a healthtech company across every function, and you'll learn more, faster, than almost anywhere else.
This role is a genuine launchpad. Our last Founder's Associate is now in Growth, and we want the next person to have the same chance to grow into wherever they can add the most value.
We cover whatever tools and resources you need to move fast, and we're a tight-knit team who work hard, laugh a lot, eat together and back each other completely.
This is the role at the centre of the company as we grow from 450,000 to 10 million+ patients.
