About Us: Astera, a leading company in the film- and event lighting industry known for innovation and excellence, is on the lookout for a Lighting Product Specialist to support our Distributors and Business Development colleagues in Europe and sometimes in other countries with technical know-how, product demos, exhibition attendance, etc. This role offers an exciting opportunity to spread the word about Astera, change the narrative of the brand around Europe, build-up deep relationships, and intensify our partnership with local distributors.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Distributors with technical questions, important product demos, product training.
- Attend trade shows to demonstrate Astera products and receive technical feedback about our products.
- Attend Open Days as product specialist to show products, answer questions etc.
- Visit customers to build relationships within the industry.
- Support distributors and end customers by answering technical questions, demonstrating Astera products and spreading the knowledge about Asteraβs industry-leading features.
- Investigate market trends of the region.
- Identify new markets and potential opportunities.
- Report directly to the Head of Sales.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience with a focus on technical sales.
- In-depth knowledge of the film or event lighting industry.
- Candidates should have several years of hands-on experience in the field, e.g. as Lighting Technician, Gaffer, DoP, etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Flexibility to travel.
- Team player.
- Attention to details.
- Fluent in English, other languages (especially French, Italian, Spanish) are also of use.
- Based in Europe, ideally close to an international airport.
