Looking for our 5th candidate.
Are you a Spanish-speaking legal professional looking to advance your career in the UK? Would you like to join a multi-disciplinary international firm where you can gain experience across legal, corporate, and financial sectors?
At Aster & Trujillo, we are not a traditional firm. We are an international consultancy practice offering end-to-end advisory services that integrate law, tax, and corporate strategy. Our clients include UK and European businesses, as well as international entrepreneurs expanding into the UK.
We collaborate across disciplines — our legal team works hand-in-hand with solicitors, accountants, and tax advisors to deliver seamless, A-to-Z solutions. We assist clients in areas such as corporate governance, employment and immigration law, business formation, and cross-border compliance, ensuring they receive holistic, tailored support.
Team & Environment
You will be joining a diverse team of four international lawyers, all qualified in foreign jurisdictions and currently building their professional careers in the UK. Together, you’ll collaborate across departments, share knowledge, and gain first-hand exposure to the UK legal and regulatory system within a supportive, multicultural environment.
You’ll also work closely with our internal accounts and tax department, gaining valuable insight into financial compliance, payroll, VAT, and HMRC reporting — a unique opportunity to broaden your expertise beyond the purely legal field.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and draft contracts, letters, and other legal documentation
- Support solicitors in corporate, commercial, property, and employment law matters
- Assist with immigration applications and compliance checks for international clients
- Liaise with Companies House, HMRC, and other UK regulatory authorities
- Conduct KYC and AML checks for corporate and individual clients
- Maintain accurate compliance records and manage statutory filings
- Ensure timely completion of annual returns and governance obligations
International & Client-Facing Work
- Communicate directly with Spanish-speaking and international clients
- Support Latin American and European businesses setting up operations in the UK
- Liaise with external auditors and regulators across jurisdictions
- Coordinate with accountants and tax advisors to deliver integrated client support
- Manage a small portfolio of clients under supervision
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely project delivery
- Contribute to proposals, client meetings, and business development efforts
What We’re Looking For - Essential Requirements
- Law degree (LLB or equivalent) from Spain, Latin America, or another foreign jurisdiction
- Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
- A qualified lawyer from a foreign jurisdiction looking to transition into UK practice
- Experience or strong interest in corporate and/or immigration law
- Knowledge of tax and business advisory services
- Understanding of legal compliance and risk management
- Excellent legal drafting, research, and analytical skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Proactive, professional, and client-focused approach
- Willingness to learn UK legal systems and adapt to new frameworks

- Familiarity with compliance or tax-related work
- Prior experience in a law firm or consultancy (in the UK or abroad)
- Interest in business development and international advisory
- UK experience is not required. Full training will be provided.
- Candidates on Graduate Visas or with valid UK work authorisation are welcome to apply.
What We Offer
- Career growth within a multi-disciplinary international firm
- Collaboration with a team of internationally qualified lawyers
- Exposure to UK, European, and Latin American clients
