The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 ÂŁ per year.
Do you have a recognised qualification in Building, Surveying or Planning? Have you got significant experience in the construction industry? If so, we would love you to join our team as a Surveyor.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out responsive property inspections in customer’s homes in Hampshire.
- Managing a varied, large and challenging workload.
- Conducting response repair surveys, mutual exchanges, minor works surveys, and investigating damp, condensation, and mould.
- Overseeing minor works, refurbishment work, and general surveying.
- Sharing your knowledge and advising on construction defects to ensure great customer service.
- Scheduling repairs with maintenance colleagues and keeping customer experience at the heart of everything you do.
You’ll be working mainly in Hampshire but may also see what other areas of the group have to offer as the team works closely together; cross-working is key! You will need a vehicle and valid full UK driving licence to get you around the county.
About you:
- You will have a relevant technical (HNC or higher) qualification in Building, Surveying, Planning or a similar technical field or significant experience working in the construction industry.
- Ideally, you will have previous experience of working in social housing.
- You’ll mostly work alone out in our communities but there’s a team right behind you waiting for you when you get back to the laptop; being able to work independently and part of a team is key in this role.
- You’ll be happy communicating with colleagues and customers frequently, face to face, on the phone or in writing.
- A strength will be your time management and you’ll be experienced in working to deadlines, managing your own time and workload.
- You’ll be knowledgeable in current methods, standards and initiatives relating to repair and refurbishment of residential dwellings.
- You’ll be confident sharing your knowledge with others and keeping up to date with what’s new in your area.
