We are seeking an inspiring, forward-thinking, and collaborative leader to join us as the Regional Head of Housing Operations and Home Ownership for Devon and Cornwall. This is a pivotal role, responsible for leading and empowering our teams to deliver safe, modern, and reliable customer services across housing and home ownership.
As Regional Head of Housing Operations and Home Ownership, you will champion a positive, enthusiastic, and empowered culture, ensuring operational excellence and outstanding customer service. You will lead integrated, demand-led local services, driving consistency, efficiency, and high customer satisfaction. This role involves matrix management across the Customer Services Directorate, working closely with colleagues and Directors to respond to challenges and opportunities as one cohesive leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and empower teams to deliver outstanding housing and home ownership services, enabling colleagues to reach their full potential.
- Actively participate in Operational Leadership Teams to ensure collaborative delivery of the Customer Services Strategic Framework.
- Motivate and manage large, dispersed teams effectively, promoting a performance-focused environment.
- Ensure services meet regulatory, legislative, and best-practice standards.
- Plan, develop, and monitor budgets, ensuring strategic and financial objectives are achieved.
- Lead organisational change initiatives, involving colleagues and customers to embed new ways of working.
- Promote a safety-first culture, valuing diversity and ensuring a healthy, positive working environment.
- Build strategic relationships with key stakeholders including local authorities, MPs, and Councillors.
