Are you a qualified carpenter looking for a change? Our East Dorset Response team are looking for you!
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be completing carpentry works including fitting kitchen units, kitchen worktops, plinths, wall tiling, bath panels, hanging doors (both internal and external), fitting grab rails and shower seats when required, and any other works associated with normal carpentry. A working knowledge of other trades (i.e. plumbing) as directed by the line manager is also beneficial. You will at times be required to work at height from ladders, tower working platforms, and mobile elevated work platforms.
You’ll be working in our customer’s homes, so you’ll have a customer service focus with an inquisitive mind to get to the bottom of the problems. You’ll work in a team of trades, so there’ll always be someone available to support you.
About you
You’ll have a carpentry qualification, NVQ or equivalent. You’ll be able to identify causes and specify materials required to rectify carpentry issues.
You’ll need to be a confident user of IT, as your work is shared via a PDA and you’ll need to control and manage your van stock electronically.
You’ll be working in a team of other trades, delivering excellent customer service while working together to improve our customers’ homes. Teamwork and collaboration are essential to get the job done and ensure customer satisfaction.
You’ll be working with a variety of teams and communicating with them regularly, so you’ll be confident in managing expectations of both internal and external customers.
We will supply a company vehicle to get you around, so you’ll need a full, UK manual driving licence.
