The Vacancy
Are you an experienced Housing Officer looking for a new role? If so, please keep reading.
As a Housing Officer you’ll be working across Greater London on a dispersed patch of agency‑managed and covering some general needs properties. You will be responsible for delivering a successful housing and tenancy management service.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Liaising with agents onsite.
- Customer focus, working with residents in the community.
- Collaborating with other teams, safer neighbourhood teams and external stakeholders.
- Investigating and actioning tenancy breaches, enforcing the terms & conditions of the tenancy agreement.
- Attending court and undertaking evictions.
- Conducting viewings and sign‑ups.
- Delivering a programme of property/estate inspections, prioritising FRA/H&S actions.
About you
You should have a CIH or equivalent housing qualification or significant housing management experience.
Experience of housing management and a proven track record of dealing with challenging situations while addressing diverse customer needs is required.
Knowledge of current housing issues, housing law, regulations, leasehold, and shared ownership management is essential.
Excellent communication skills and strong IT skills with experience using CRMS.
Ability to travel across the patch; a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable.
Ideal candidates will be based in the Greater London area.
