We’re looking for a Senior Service Designer to lead the way in shaping user‑centred, inclusive, and efficient services that meet real needs and deliver real impact. This is your opportunity to influence how we design and deliver change across the organisation. You’ll lead service design activities for strategic programmes, ensuring every solution reflects the voices of our customers and colleagues.

Why this role matters

Service design isn’t just about processes, it’s about experiences. In this role, you’ll:

  • Lead design for complex programmes, creating services that are intuitive, inclusive, and future‑ready.
  • Facilitate co‑design workshops, bringing customers, colleagues, and stakeholders together to shape solutions.
  • Create powerful design outputs, from service blueprints and journey maps to prototypes and personas.
  • Champion best practice, embedding service design principles and building capability across the organisation.
  • Mentor and inspire, supporting Service Designers and fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration.

What we’re looking for

You’re a creative problem‑solver who thrives on collaboration and innovation. You’ll bring:

  • Significant experience in service design within complex organisations.
  • Expertise in designing end‑to‑end service journeys and digital services.
  • Strong facilitation skills and experience leading co‑design workshops.
  • Proficiency in design tools and the ability to produce high‑quality outputs.
  • Experience in managing and developing design teams.
  • Knowledge of programme and project management principles.
  • Ideally, experience in housing, public sector, or regulated environments.

This is a hybrid role enabling you to work from home if you wish. Travel will be required for the role to meet with stakeholders and customers, attend meetings and work with the team so being happy to travel in our operating region is a must. Our operating region includes Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and London.
