Job Purpose
To ensure all Customer QA requirements are satisfied and that customer returns and Customer complaints are handled appropriately.
- Scope of Job
- Quality Issues Primary interface to Customer on all Quality Issues.
- Quality Returns Control of Line and Warranty Returns in accordance with Customer requirements, ensuring adequate countermeasures are taken to prevent reoccurrence.
- Quality KPI & Reporting Monitor and report Quality KPI measures for their relevant section and use to drive improvements in QA performance.
- Support QA Technicians Supporting QA Technicians with product investigations and use of relevant equipment.
- Quality & Work Instructions Generation of detailed Quality and Test Stand Work Instructions, and support the Technicians in using them.
- Concessions Control of External and Internal Concession requests, in conjunction with Lead Quality Engineer.
- Supplier Quality Conduct audits and manage Supplier quality issues as required.
- Customer QA Requirements Completion of all relevant documentation in support of Customer QA requirements (ANPQP/APQP/PPAP).
- Process Capability Analysis of process capability data /R&R study data, and working with Production Engineering to improve the production line accordingly.
- Customer and Astemo Requirements Understand and deploy Customer Specific Requirements and Astemo standards for their products and ensure continual compliance.
- Typical Knowledge & Skills
An in depth knowledge of automotive standards and quality techniques and their application, especially IATF 16949 and APQP tools such as control plans, process flow, FMEA, SPC, R&R, internal audit, structured problem solving.
Typical Qualifications and Previous Experience
HNC / HND Electrical / Mechanical Engineering as a minimum.
PC Literate(Word/Excel) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally gained within automotive.
We would consider an electronics, high volume manufacturing assembly background.
Liaison with customers.
