Ready to contribute to the future of the automotive industry? Join our Bolton plant as a Team Leader – Production Team Member. In this role you will lead the production line team to achieve daily targets related to safety, people, quality, delivery and cost.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the production line team to meet daily targets for safety, people, quality, delivery and cost.
  • Support improvement activities and develop team members.
  • Conduct area audits and ensure corrective actions are followed up.
  • Coordinate team meetings, cascade weekly updates around safety, quality, delivery and cost issues.
  • Own and coordinate team KPIs and overall performance.
  • Resolve issues and coordinate with shift technical support staff.
  • Highlight improvement opportunities and training gaps.
  • Drive health & safety practices and conduct risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental controls, energy and material waste reduction, and 5S.
  • Respond quickly to line issues, coordinate support staff and conduct initial investigations.
  • Prioritise actions to achieve line targets and KPI’s, support RCCA.
  • Coach and mentor PTMs to improve line performance, deliver training and competency checks.
  • Encourage PTMs to meet line, team and skill block requirements, report key issues.
  • Support standard operations, audit performance and provide feedback on documentation.
  • Carry out PTM duties to free the team for improvement activities.

Competencies & Qualifications

  • Experience in fast‑moving goods production with team engagement and performance management.
  • Strong leadership skills, motivational approach and results‑oriented mindset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, employee training, interviewing and relationship‑building skills.
  • Knowledge of NVQ, ILM qualifications in leadership and risk assessment training.
  • Proficient with Microsoft O365 software/programs.
  • Continuous improvement activities and KPI‑orientated business experience.
