As our Recruitment Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting the full recruitment and onboarding lifecycle across the business. Working closely with the HR Manager and Hiring Managers, you’ll ensure that every stage of the process from job posting to first-day onboarding is smooth, efficient, and aligned with our Mission, Vision and Values. The role is a 9 month fixed term contract to support the preparations of start of production (SOP) of our recently awarded Inverter business. This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll be involved in everything from screening candidates and coordinating interviews to running LinkedIn campaigns, maintaining recruitment systems, and supporting our employer brand at events and fairs.
Key Accountabilities And Activities- End-to-End Recruitment Support
- Partner with the HR Manager and Hiring Managers to deliver a seamless recruitment and onboarding process.
- Create and publish accurate, brand-aligned job adverts across internal and external platforms.
- Run LinkedIn campaigns to support sourcing and candidate engagement.
- Ensure all roles follow the correct approval process.
- Candidate Screening & Selection
- Review CVs and conduct first-stage interviews.
- Assess candidates against departmental skill matrices and role requirements.
- Coordinate interviews, assessments, and reference checks.
- Work closely with managers to identify and secure top talent.
- Onboarding Coordination
- Facilitate a smooth onboarding experience for new starters.
- Provide essential information, resources, and support to help new employees settle into their roles.
- Talent Pipeline & Reporting
- Build and maintain a strong talent pool, including supporting assessment days for high-volume recruitment under the new VW Inverter programme.
- Provide regular updates to the HR Manager on live vacancies and recruitment activity.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all recruitment activity complies with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct pre-employment checks and issue contracts and offer letters.
- Maintain accurate records, metrics, and documentation to support reporting and analysis.
- Employer Branding & Events
- Represent the company at recruitment fairs and events.
- Respond to candidate and stakeholder queries promptly and professionally.
- Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in making independent decisions to keep processes moving.
- High levels of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
- Solid IT skills, including Office365 and Excel.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience of using recruitment software and psychometric testing tools.
- Previous experience in a similar recruitment role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with Apprenticeships and Graduate Schemes an advantage.
