Join our Bolton Plant as a Team Leader – Production Team Member. Lead the production line team to achieve daily targets related to safety, people, quality, delivery and cost. Support improvement team activities, conduct area audits, and follow through corrective actions. You will drive and maintain production team performance, health & safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the team, conduct team meetings and weekly cascade meetings to communicate safety, quality, delivery and cost issues.
  • Take initiative to resolve issues, coordinate technical support staff, and ensure all production targets are understood, communicated and delivered.
  • Highlight improvement opportunities and training gaps; motivate and engage the team.
  • Drive health and safety practices: conduct risk assessments, daily safety checks, 5S and environmental controls.
  • Respond quickly to line issues, investigate, prioritize actions and support R/C/RCC where needed.
  • Coach and mentor PTMs, provide regular feedback, identify training needs and maintain training records.
  • Support development and audit performance against line documentation, provide feedback to stakeholders.
  • Carry out normal PTM duties to free the team for improvement activities.

Key Competencies

  • Experience in fast‑moving goods production, team engagement and performance management.
  • Worked with a KPI‑oriented business.
  • Leadership experience, product knowledge and industry experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, motivational skills, results‑oriented and employee training experience.
  • Ability to conduct difficult discussions, build relationships and focus on well‑being of the team.
  • NVQ or ILM qualifications in leadership.
  • Risk assessment training.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft O365.
  • Experience with continuous improvement activities.
