In this role, it is your responsibility to lead and manage the Production Planning team, providing guidance, support and growth within the team and Supply Chain structure. Work within the Supply Chain team supporting team members with related queries.
Key Accountabilities and Activities:- Lead and manage the Production Planning team, providing guidance, support and growth within the team.
- Play a key part in the Supply Chain Management roadmap role transitions.
- Lead daily SCM meetings reporting key KPIs to business leaders, enabling efficient decision making.
- Build upon existing and develop new robust planning processes and ensure adherence to these processes.
- Support team with the continued development of SAP S/4 Hana MRP System.
- Communicate with customers and sales team, be the first point of escalation in relation to delivery issues.
- Lead the inventory reporting activities, hold the team accountable to inventory targets.
- Ensure the successful implementation of our production scheduling software.
- Oversee long term plans to ensuring accurate data is presented to the business.
- Oversee material phase in/out plans ensuring accurate data is presented to the business.
- Minimum 3 years of leading and developing a team with clear accomplishments.
- Minimum 5 years in Production Planning roles or other Supply Chain roles.
- Leading, motivating and developing a team.
- Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence.
- Experience of process improvement.
- Good communicator, especially contacting suppliers and customers across different cultures.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure.
- Work positively within a team environment to get the best solution.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Good Microsoft Excel skills.
- PC Literate.
- Previous experience using SAP S/4 Hana (Desirable).
- Experience working within an automotive supply chain (Desirable).
