The Opportunity:
As a Medical Science Liaison at Astellas Pharma, you will play a pivotal role in transforming patient care through innovative therapies. You will engage with the medical and scientific community, contributing to the development of strategic plans that address unmet medical needs. Your expertise will help shape the future of healthcare, making a meaningful difference in patients\’ lives.

Key Activities for this role:

• Proactively identify unmet needs to deepen Astellas\’ understanding of customer requirements.
• Contribute to strengthening key medical messages and future development plans.
• Support and lead excellence in governance processes, demonstrating operational understanding.
• Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as a mentor and coach for MSLs, enhancing their therapeutic and product knowledge.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

• Significant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with previous years as an MSL.
• Exceptional medical and pharmacological knowledge in main indications.
• Strong understanding of healthcare structures and processes.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and medical databases.

Education/Qualification:

• Bachelor\’s degree in science, or equivalent.

Additional Information:

• Type of role: full‑time permanent.
• Location: UK office (Addlestone).
• This position follows our hybrid working model. The role requires a blend of home and minimum 1 day per quarter in our local office. Flexibility may be required in line with business needs. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
