Location and Working Environment
This position is field based covering Norfolk and Suffolk primarily incorporating Norwich, Cambridge, Ipswich, Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes.

Purpose & Scope
Drive the growth and success of Astellas' Urology portfolio within a designated territory by ensuring appropriate patient access, delivering commercial objectives, and building strategic partnerships across the NHS.
The role is responsible for developing and executing account plans, influencing key stakeholders, and collaborating cross-functionally to optimise patient outcomes, market share, and business performance.
- Role And Responsibilities
- Strategic Account Management & Business Development
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive sales, market share, and patient access objectives.
- Identify opportunities, risks, and stakeholder dynamics within key accounts to optimise business outcomes.
- Ensure eligible patients have access to Astellas therapies through effective account management and local market access activities.
- Build a deep understanding of patient pathways, healthcare systems, and account priorities.
- Analyse customer, account, and territory data to inform planning, resource allocation, and decision-making.
- Support the inclusion of Astellas products within local treatment guidelines, protocols, and care pathways.
- Identify opportunities to improve diagnostic and treatment pathways that enable optimal patient outcomes.
- Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, decision-makers, commissioners, and payers.
- Deliver high-quality, in-label product and disease area education to relevant stakeholders.
- Establish Astellas as a trusted partner through strong therapeutic area expertise and customer focus.
- Demonstrate an understanding of local NHS priorities and adapt engagement strategies accordingly.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, disease areas, competitor activities, and the external healthcare environment.

- Maintain proficiency in relevant business systems and reporting tools.
- Required Qualifications
- Proven success in a Key Account Management role with a track record of delivering or exceeding business objectives.
- Strong ability to analyse and interpret complex clinical and commercial data.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining influential relationships across diverse customer groups.
- Experience working collaboratively within cross-functional or matrix environments to deliver outcomes for patients, healthcare systems, and the business.
- Strong strategic planning, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Understanding of NHS structures, decision-making processes, and patient pathways.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a Key Account Manager engaging across Primary Care, Secondary Care, and Payer/Commissioning environments.
- Experience within Urology, Women’s Health, or a related therapeutic area would be a distinct advantage.
- Knowledge of market access, reimbursement processes, and NHS commissioning pathways.
- Experience influencing treatment guidelines, protocols, or service redesign initiatives.
- Demonstrated success in complex account management within the pharmaceutical industry.
