Location and Working Environment

This position is to be based in the UK. Purpose & Scope

The Brand Insights Expert is responsible for delivering high-quality, data‑driven insights to support strategic decision‑making at Astellas. Reporting to the Global Brand & Pipeline Insights Chapter Lead within the Customer Engagement Excellence (CEE) team, this role develops a comprehensive understanding of global market conditions for assigned products and therapeutic areas. The position provides primary and secondary market research, forecasting inputs, and competitive intelligence, while supporting global launch preparations and ongoing product performance assessment. Operating within an Agile, Brand@Center model, the role is embedded in a Value Team to drive business outcomes.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Value Team Delivery
    • Execute day‑to‑day activities aligned with Value Team objectives
    • Support the Value Team Lead in delivering strategy and goals
    • Apply expertise to solve business challenges and achieve measurable outcomes
    • Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver prioritized initiatives
  • Market Insights & Analysis
    • Lead global commercial analysis for assigned products
    • Generate forward‑looking insights to strengthen competitive positioning
    • Identify information needs and design market research and data analysis plans
    • Conduct and communicate actionable insights for global, regional, and local decisions
    • Develop deep understanding of market landscape, including trends, opportunities and risks
    • Provide competitive intelligence and market access insights
  • Forecasting & Business Support
    • Partner with Finance to support forecasting and long‑range planning
    • Ensure alignment and consistency of assumptions across regions
    • Provide market intelligence guidance to Global Brand Strategy teams
    • Communicate key insights to cross‑functional stakeholders
  • Continuous Improvement & Agile Ways of Working
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
    • Foster a collaborative, adaptable team culture
  • Learning, Compliance & Best Practices
    • Engage in ongoing professional development and capability building
    • Adhere to compliance standards, including Pharmacovigilance and Ethics & Compliance in market research

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science, engineering, mathematics, decision science, or analytics
  • Extensive experience in forecasting, market research, competitive intelligence, or decision sciences within pharmaceuticals or biopharma consulting
  • Strong understanding of global business functions within enterprise strategy
  • Experience working in global and cross‑functional environments
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt in a growth‑oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a global mid‑to large‑cap pharmaceutical company
  • MBA
