As Electrical Engineering Manager for our Omagh site, you will lead an already established team in the design and development of class leading control systems for our range of aggregate crushing, screening and bulk handling equipment. This position allows the suitable candidate the scope and ownership to play a significant part in the future of our products, including DA, AC and Hybrid architectures, and is an exciting time to join the business. You will ensure that produced designs are completed to a high standard, on time and with a consideration for the operational environment and duty cycle of the equipment.
About The Role
- Lead the design and development activities of the Omagh Electrical Engineering team for the entire product lifecycle, concept, design, prototype, validation, compliance, lifetime support.
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the Hardware and Software engineering teams, with a focus on delivery and quality of overall system designs.
- Design leadership and decision making on control system design on mobile and industrial products in line with our NPD roadmap and project orders.
- Further development of the site design capabilities in EPLAN.
- Ensure that new designs conform with relevant equipment standards and that compliance documentation is completely accurate and up to date.
- Establish new and improve existing design processes and procedures as the team and product portfolio continues to grow.
- Provide support for existing and new product in conjunction with our aftermarket team.
- Ensure new designs are fit for purpose, with simplicity, functionality and quality in mind.
- Ensure on-time product development of all assigned design projects.
- Provide high quality design output, with appropriate design calculations, documentation and BOM accuracy to a high standard.
- Work with Sales and customers to ensure that the requested product specifications are clearly documented.
