The ECO Coordinator is responsible for evaluating, coordinating, and managing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to ensure alignment with business objectives, including reviewing and guiding changes, analysing inventory and implementation impact, liaising globally to support regional efforts, and ensuring timely release and closure of ECOs across all affected areas.
About The Role
- Review, coach, question, and evaluate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process optimisation, implement best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate and capture relevant data to support informed business decisions on the timing and necessity of implementing changes.
- Assess inventory impact and determine appropriate release timing for ECOs.
- Release and close ECOs once all business actions have been completed.
- Act as a liaison between Engineering and Operations to determine change impact and drive disposition decisions.
- Ensure ECOs are fully actioned and closed across all departments, maintaining alignment and accountability.
- Conduct both strategic and tactical evaluations of proposed Engineering changes and their effects on inventory prior to implementation.
Required Criteria
- Foundation Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business/Project Management with relevant technical experience.
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking, analysing, and reporting ECO data, including the use of pivot tables, formulas, and conditional formatting to support performance monitoring.
- Knowledge of Power BI for developing interactive dashboards and visual reports that provide real-time insights into ECO metrics, trends, and status updates for management and cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) logic.

- Product knowledge of heavy-duty machinery, preferred.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and inventory management preferred.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in driving effective change management is desirable.
