Astbury School is a small rural village Church of England Primary School set in Cheshire East. We are looking to appoint an inspirational inclusion teaching assistant to work with children in KS2. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children in a primary school. They will be enthusiastic and motivated and will have a distinct understanding of inclusion and special educational needs.
The candidate will need to:
- differentiating lesson input
- adapt the language and learning demands of a lesson
- provide gentle prompts to refocus
- deliver pre-/post-teaching
- initiate sensory breaks
- complete interventions such as precision teaching, toe by toe, catch up numeracy, lego therapy, zones of regulation, comic strip conversations and social stories
The candidate will be required to work alongside the class teacher under the direction of the SENDCo and head teacher to ensure that progress towards EHCP targets is enabled.
