The Facilities Maintenance Technician provides installation, maintenance, and repair work on production and processing machinery and equipment in an industrial environment.

- Follows safe working practices and procedures and participates in safety programs.
- Follows current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
- Repairs and maintains electrical systems and control systems on equipment.
- Troubleshoots and repairs equipment, electrical networks, control panels and other control system components.
- Interfaces with supervisory personnel about equipment conditions and difficulties in the electrical system.
- Maintains, repairs, and installs plant lighting (LED)
- Utilizes electrical/electronic prints/schematics, ladder logic, plant computer systems, the current National Electrical Codes, and test equipment to complete assigned tasks.
- Takes electrical and maintenance calls when on shift or on call and performs and completes all jobs as assigned.
- Enters and performs work on work orders; plans and schedules additional work as needed.
- Understand the purpose of Preventative Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance and participate in these Programs.
Complete work ticket and PM documentation including spreadsheets and work ticket software.
- Maintains work area in a clean and functional condition.
- Must be able to locate parts and reference part numbers.
- Must be able to accurately enter data into computer and into daily paperwork in a timely manner.
- Ensures attendance and participation in training activities appropriate to the position.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Mentor and train junior team members in electrical work.
- Provide accurate assessment of vendor quote.
- Program and troubleshoot control systems identify, diagnose, and fix issues in custom equipment with electromechanical trouble shooting

Education And Experience
- Associate degree (two-year college or technical school) in Maintenance Technology or closely related discipline
- Two plus years of applicable facilities or maintenance experience
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferred
- Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Knowledge of EHS regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems and equipment
- Ability to work within a team
- Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize

Qualifications
- Licensed electrician with strong technical and problem-solving skills.
- Basis pro proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Capable of both teamwork and independent work.
- Skilled in training and guiding others in the field.
- 3+ years' experience with Industrial setting
- Related certification/degree preferred
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
- Ability to work as a team or independently
- Other Requirements
- Ability to work flexible days and hours to support business needs
- Program systems using ladder logic in different languages (Allen Bradley & Ignition a plus).
- Performing regular, preventative maintenance on all machinery, equipment, tools and building.
- Performing set ups, tune ups and runs equipment and machinery around the plant.
- Performing duties consistent with established safety rules and procedures.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Participating in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
- Complete other duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager
- Good written/verbal communication
- 2+ years' experience with commercial chillers
- Additional Mechanical Aptitude & Certs.: Copper sweating, welding, water treatment (RO & purification, high pressure boiler Certified).
