Your future team:
Are you a talented Mechanical Designer with a passion for delivering design to manufacture? We are experiencing significant growth in our Defence sector and need skilled professionals to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on Assystem-led projects across our UK offices, with flexible hybrid working available.
Your missions:
- Develop complete design concepts, scheme definitions, and full detailed design solutions using CAD software, including Inventor.
- Work on piping systems, mechanical flow diagrams, and the production of general arrangement, assembly, component, and fabrication drawings.
- Ensure designs adhere to the AEIL Quality Management System, delivering work within agreed time scales, costs, and quality standards.
Qualifications/Skills to be successful:
- HND in an applicable engineering/design discipline preferred or HNC with relevant experience.
- Extensive experience in mechanical design in line with BS/ISO standards.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software.
- Experience with design for manufacture, pipework, pressure vessels, and structural steelwork.
- Experience with Autodesk Revit and GD&T (desirable).
- Familiarity with BS8888 and ASME Y14.5 drawing standards (desirable).
- Experience with origination of detailed drawings.
