Responsibilities
- This role supports major nuclear programmes, requiring candidates within commuting distance of Bridgwater or open to relocation support.
- You will coordinate integrated Mechanical and Electrical planning activities across Nuclear Island and Balance of Plant programmes.
- The role supports complex installation, commissioning and system handover activities within a regulated nuclear construction environment.
- Develop integrated Mechanical and Electrical schedules using Primavera P6 methodologies.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary installation sequencing across construction and commissioning teams.
- Plan Mechanical and Electrical equipment installation and system integration activities.
- Monitor project performance, critical path impacts and mitigation recovery programmes.
- Support mechanical completion, testing, balancing and commissioning turnover activities.
- Produce KPI dashboards, progress reports and schedule variance analysis documentation.
- Interface with subcontractors, engineering teams and project delivery stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with nuclear quality standards and project governance procedures.
- Integrate procurement, fabrication and installation activities into project schedules.
- Support workface planning and short-term construction look-ahead programme activities.
Qualifications
- Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent engineering or construction management qualification.
- Proven Planning Engineer experience on major Mechanical and Electrical projects.
- Strong understanding of Mechanical and Electrical installation methodologies and sequencing.
- Advanced practical experience using Oracle Primavera P6 planning software.
- Experience developing fully logic-linked construction and commissioning schedules.
- Background within nuclear, energy, oil and gas or regulated sectors.
- Strong understanding of commissioning, turnover and mechanical completion processes.
- Working knowledge of NEC contracts and project controls methodologies.
- Strong analytical capability with reporting and critical path analysis experience.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Power BI or Synchro advantageous.
