Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Construction Design and Management (CDM) Advisor to support the delivery of technical excellence across a diverse portfolio of complex construction projects. • Coordinate the collection, review and distribution of Pre-Construction Information (PCI), ensuring relevant information is communicated to Principal Contractors, Contractors and Designers.
  • Identify gaps in available Pre-Construction Information, including the need for additional surveys or investigations, and ensure these are brought to the Client's attention.
  • Confirm that effective arrangements are in place for the management and communication of health and safety information throughout the design and construction process.
  • Prepare and maintain the Pre-Construction Information document for inclusion within tender documentation, ensuring it is reviewed, updated and reissued to relevant parties as the project develops.
  • Agree the format, content and delivery requirements for Health and Safety File documentation with the relevant Programme Manager and stakeholders.

During the project the CDM Advisor will:

  • Engage with Designers and Principal Contractors to communicate expectations and requirements for the preparation and maintenance of the Health and Safety File.
  • Review Health and Safety File content with Designers following tender reviews and whenever design changes have implications for health and safety.
  • Establish the Health and Safety File at the commencement of each work package and agree a schedule for the submission of required information with Designers and Principal Contractors.
  • Maintain and update the Health and Safety File throughout design development and construction, incorporating relevant information provided by Designers, Principal Contractors and Contractors.
  • Ensure the Health and Safety File contains appropriate information to support the safe operation, maintenance, cleaning, alteration and eventual decommissioning of the completed works.
