The Senior Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and assuring high-quality integrated schedules for complex programmes or portfolios, while also leading and managing a team of schedulers to drive consistency, accuracy, and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and own master schedules, ensuring alignment across programmes, dependencies, and milestones
- Provide schedule analysis, forecasting, and insight to support decision-making at senior level
- Lead, coach, and performance-manage schedulers, setting clear standards and priorities
- Establish scheduling governance, methodologies, and quality assurance processes
- Identify and manage schedule risks, critical paths, and impacts to delivery
- Act as the subject matter expert for planning and scheduling tools and techniques
Skills & Experience
- Significant experience in programme or portfolio scheduling within complex environments
- Proven experience managing or leading planning/scheduling teams
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate clearly to senior stakeholders
- Advanced proficiency in scheduling tools (e.g. Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent)
