Join the Fusion and Modular Nuclear Business Unit. Reporting to the Balance of Plant Lead, the Senior Mechanical Engineer shall be responsible for developing a fluid system. The Senior Mechanical Engineer shall work closely with multidisciplined teams and the supply chain to help deliver the system design.

Your Mission

  • πŸ’§ Lead Fluid System Development: Manage a small team to develop fluid systems.
  • πŸ“Š Review Design Documents: Develop and review Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, Layout Drawings, Component Sizing Calculations, Datasheets, and Specifications.
  • πŸ” Conduct Optioneering: Lead and review optioneering studies, Decision Record Files, Design Descriptions, and Requirement Specifications.
  • πŸ”§ Apply Systems Engineering: Develop and review Functional and Design Requirements using Systems Engineering principles.
  • βš™οΈ Integrate System Design: Ensure the fluid system design integrates seamlessly into the wider power plant.
  • πŸ“ž Provide Technical Support: Act as the technical contact for interfaces and stakeholder activities.
  • πŸ‘₯ Support Design Reviews: Participate in Design Reviews and HAZID/HAZOP studies with multidisciplinary teams.
