Your Mission: We are looking for a Project Manager (PM) to represent the Nuclear Defence business and support the delivery of the associated portfolio of projects for key blue-chip clients, supporting the Defence Programme Manager across both the Project Management and PMO functions. Reporting to the Programme Manager, the Project Manager should have managed a range of projects and have a demonstrable successful track record of delivering multi-discipline projects in the past, from concept through to delivery; ensuring client and internal requirements are met, and that the project is completed to plan and within budget. The Project Manager will also have commercial skills and demonstrable project and contract change management expertise.

  • Deliver projects to scope, quality, schedule, and budget targets
  • Manage all phases of the project lifecycle using recognised methodologies
  • Control project budgets and monitor financial performance
  • Support governance, assurance, and compliance activities
  • Manage project risks, opportunities, and change control
  • Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and supply chain partners
  • Review project costs, schedules, and critical milestones
  • Prepare reports, forecasts, and client proposals
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration across project teams
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Proactive and organised mindset

Qualifications Experience & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing multiple projects (3+ years)
  • Knowledge of project governance and project controls
  • Strong understanding of KPIs & Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Hold Security Clearance or ability to gain SC
  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline
  • Experience working within frameworks or framework contracts
  • Experience within complex project or engineering environments

Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
