We are seeking an experienced Project Planner with strong Primavera P6 expertise to support the successful delivery of complex infrastructure, engineering, construction, or capital projects within aviation environments or other live operational settings.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analysing integrated project schedules while working closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and minimally disruptive project execution in operational environments. Experience within airports, rail, utilities, healthcare, data centres, manufacturing plants, or other operationally critical facilities will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Build fully logic-linked programmes covering design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover phases.
  • Monitor project progress against baseline schedules and identify schedule risks, delays, and mitigation opportunities.
  • Produce critical path analysis, earned value metrics, float analysis, and progress reporting.
  • Interface with project managers, engineers, commercial teams, and operational stakeholders to align programme activities with operational constraints.
  • Coordinate possession planning, shutdowns, phased works, and access windows within live operational environments.
  • Support the development of recovery programmes and mitigation strategies where required.
  • Ensure compliance with project governance, planning standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Facilitate planning workshops and schedule review meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Integrate subcontractor and supplier schedules into the master programme.
  • Prepare regular dashboards, look-ahead programmes, and executive reporting packs.
  • Support change management, delay analysis, and claims-related programme assessments where necessary.

Proven experience as a Project Planner using Primavera P6. Experience delivering projects within either:

  • Aviation environments (airports, airside/landside infrastructure, terminal projects, baggage systems, MEP upgrades, etc.), or
  • Live operational environments where business continuity and operational constraints are critical.

Strong understanding of project lifecycle delivery methodologies. Ability to develop and manage complex integrated schedules. Experience with critical path analysis and schedule risk management. Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills. Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and reporting capabilities. Experience on infrastructure, construction, engineering, or capital delivery programmes. Knowledge of NEC contracts and change management processes. Familiarity with project controls processes including cost and risk integration. Experience working within highly regulated or safety-critical environments. Membership of a recognised professional body (APM, PMI, CIOB, etc.).

We are committed to equal treatment of candidates and promote, as well as foster all forms of diversity within our company.
