Job Description

The Mechanical Senior Designer is required to deliver mechanical work scope, production and checking, reporting to a Senior / Principal Engineer. They will need to produce detail drawings using Inventor / AutoCAD software (including familiarity with Inventor Vault), including GA’s, manufacturing details, Layout drawings (cell and C3 & C5 Alpha Glove boxes), Flow diagrams and parts lists.

Essential Experience:

  • Experience of working within a highly regulated industry, preferably within the nuclear industry
  • Recent experience of designing Alpha Gloveboxes and the operating philosophies associated with providing a safe manual glovebox process
  • Experience in designing and laying out of Glovebox equipment
  • Experience using Inventor / AutoCAD is essential
  • Experience of ‘Design for Assembly’ within a nuclear facility
  • The candidate will need to manage their own workload and drive completion of the work scope
  • The candidate will need to be able to communicate effectively with team members and with the Client

Essential Qualifications: Microsoft Office Packages, Inventor, AutoCAD
