Job Description
🚀 Join the Fusion and Modular Nuclear Business Unit! Reporting to the CAD Manager, the mechanical CAD engineer is responsible for the delivery of component models and definitions, system P&IDs, integrated layouts, and assemblies for the Small Modular Reactor (SMR). The role will involve developing an understanding of the layout and components within the SMR, collaborating with engineering designers, and generating CAD models and definitions to a high standard.
Your Mission
- Integrated Layout Design: Develop layout solutions from concept to construction, based on design engineer specifications.
- CAD Modeling: Create component CAD models and definitions adhering to standards.
- Diagram Production: Generate 2D process, instrumentation, and ventilation system diagrams.
- Data Management: Assist in product configuration and data management processes.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain quality by conducting peer reviews of models and component definitions.
- CAD Environment Management: Set up and maintain CAD tools, templates, standards, QA processes, and training materials.
- Team Support: Provide CAD expertise, training, and mentorship to the CAD/BIM team and junior staff members.

Qualifications
- Experienced Mechanical CAD Engineer or similar role, ready to drive innovation and excellence.
- Collaborative team player with a knack for transforming concepts into reality through engineering teamwork.
- Proficient in 2D CAD systems like AutoCAD for creating precise and detailed drawings.
- Skilled in 3D CAD/BIM systems (Revit, Inventor, Solidworks, Solid Edge, Siemens NX, PDMS, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or similar) for crafting dynamic models and drawings.
- Professionally qualified in an engineering-related field, bringing expertise and technical prowess.
- SC Clearance or the capability to achieve it, ensuring readiness for high-security projects.
