We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to undertake Value Management for early project definition. The role involves helping teams of stakeholders to use VM to make the necessary decisions to define the problem, explore the possible solutions and identify the Single Preferred Solution. Value Management is subject to BS EN 12973 and is best practice to demonstrate good value for the spending of government funding (HMT Green Book). We are interested to hear from anyone who has the relevant experience in meeting facilitation and can quickly engender confidence in application of Value Management. Applications from a variety of backgrounds including engineering, project management, technical, operations will be considered for this role.
What You’ll Do
- Plan VM workshops & Run VM workshops
- Ensure VM workshops are documented and filed in a timely fashion
- Develop individuals in the use of VM principles
- Provide LFE and continuous improvements to application of VM
- Support VM Lead to improve guidance for application of VM

Essential Qualifications
- Higher education qualification in an engineering discipline (or equivalent experience). Minimum: HNC / HND (or equivalent)
- Membership of an appropriate professional engineering/scientific institution. Chartered Engineer (CEng) (or demonstrable near-term route to chartership where agreed for the role)
- Able to meet project‑specific security clearance / site access requirements.
Desirable Qualifications
- Preferred: BEng / MEng (or equivalent)

- Experience of SL and SEMS
Additional Information
This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Due to the nature of work this role will be delivering and for the protection of certain assets, the successful candidate has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.
