A CS&A Engineer is required to support the delivery of the CS&A elements of the project, collaborating with other stakeholders and engineering disciplines. The role will involve the following:
- General allâround civil and structural design experience, including new nuclear build and interfaces with existing structures.
- Experience designing concrete, steel and masonry structures under normal and abnormal environmental loading, including seismic assessments (preferred).
- Supporting the delivery of CS&A design deliverables (designs, assessments, drawings, reports), checking and approving output.
- Experience delivering work within the nuclear industry (preferred).
- Ability to work collaboratively with Integrated Design Team, facility team, and other project functions, including onâsite visits.
Qualifications:
- Degree qualified CS&A Engineer or equivalent through enhanced experience.
- Minimum three years working within a highly regulated industry.
- Proficient with design technologies and techniques.
- Production of CS&A design documents: calculations, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, method statements.
- Proficient in steel and concrete design per current codes.
- Knowledge of CDM and design responsibilities.
- Capable of independent and autonomous work during package delivery.
- Ability to actively seek input from other engineers, specialists, and project team members.
- Able to present information clearly, tailored to various audiences.
Desirable:
- Working toward Chartered Engineer status.
- Experience at Sellafield or broader nuclear industry design.
- Interest or experience in sustainability.
