Job Description

As a Technical Queries Process Lead supporting a major nuclear project, your role is to support the Request For Information (RFI) and Field Change Request (FCR) processes. The purpose of the role is to manage the effective and efficient implementation of the RFI & FCR processes, improve the processes and ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the processes into the new toolset.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • RFI & FCR Performance Management
    • Develop a strong understanding of RFI and FCR processes, KPIs, and metrics.
    • Define, implement, and communicate RFI KPIs and performance metrics.
    • Establish and chair regular RFI and weekly FCR stakeholder meetings, driving accountability, tracking actions, and improving performance.
    • Provide monthly KPI performance reports to senior leadership within the Technical Directorate.
    • Drive continuous improvement to achieve RFI and FCR KPI targets.
  • Process Improvement
    • Review and enhance RFI and FCR processes, developing detailed, agreed workflows with business stakeholders.
    • Update associated procedures, forms, registers, and metrics to align with improved processes.
    • Develop and deliver implementation plans, securing IMS approval and embedding changes within the business.
    • Monitor and measure performance improvements resulting from process changes.
  • Process Tooling & Deployment
    • Define RFI and FCR process requirements and collaborate with the CALM team to implement tooling solutions.
    • Ensure processes and requirements are accurately translated into the tool, including stakeholder testing and validation.
    • Enable automated KPI and metrics reporting through system functionality.
    • Support business rollout, including user onboarding and access management.
    • Review effectiveness post-deployment, implement improvements, and produce lessons learned with recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding, usage, implementation and improvement of RFI & FCR processes.
  • Understanding, usage, process implementation and deployment of a PLM (preferably Enovia).
  • Understanding of configuration management best practice.
  • High levels of stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Previous experience in the nuclear industry highly beneficial, but not essential.
